SPFR100 Fire Protection Solution with Tone Options

The SPFR100 tone selection preserves the character of wood while providing EN 13501-1 classified fire protection. Choose between warm browns, cool greys, deep blacks, or a transparent option.

Technology That Protects and Endures

SPFR100 uses technology that binds active agents into the wood structure, helping maintain fire protection properties even in demanding exterior conditions.

Deep Penetration

The formulation penetrates wood fibers and does not form a surface film, reducing the risk of cracking, peeling, and delamination over time.

Low Maintenance Requirement

With the correct consumption rate and application, SPFR100 provides long-term fire protection. In exterior, maintenance is typically required after 7–10 years.

Compatible Systems

Suitable for industrial coating lines, including spray, brush and dipping lines. Our technical team supports clients during the implementation process.

Reliable Certification

Tested and classified according to EN 13501-1 (B-s1, d0) by independent European accredited laboratories.

Consumption Rate
200–240 ml/m²

One of the lowest consumption rates among wood fire protection treatments, allowing more square meters to be covered per liter (depending on wood species and absorbency).

Reaction to Fire
B-s1, d0

Certified reaction-to-fire class according to EN 13501-1 when used as part of a documented SPFR100 wood system.

Packaging Sizes
5L–1000L

From small canisters for detailed work to 1000L IBC containers for industrial treatment lines and large projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about SPFR100, fire protection, application and ordering.

SPFR100 is not a fire-retardant paint or surface coating. It consists of active agents that penetrate into the wood structure and integrate with the fibers without forming a thick surface film.

Reaction to fire describes how a material behaves in the early stages of a fire – how quickly it ignites, how much heat and smoke it releases, and whether burning droplets occur. Wood treated with SPFR100 may achieve class B-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1.

Fire resistance (e.g., REI 30, REI 60) describes a construction’s ability to maintain load-bearing capacity, integrity, and insulation for a specific time during a fire. Fire resistance depends on the entire construction system, not only the surface treatment.

Generally not. SPFR100 must penetrate into the wood; it is not suitable for surfaces covered with coatings (paints, varnishes, oils). We recommend consulting us in advance to assess suitability.

SPFR100 does not alter the mechanical properties, load-bearing capacity or structural performance of wood. The active agents penetrate deeply into the wood fibers and bind within the structure without forming a rigid, load-bearing layer.

The product is water-based and does not significantly affect dimensional stability or normal moisture movement.

Yes. In addition to its own color charts, SPFR100 can be tinted in a wide range of architectural shades, including RAL, NCS and other color systems. The color is part of the fire protection process.

SPFR100 is suitable for most common wood materials, including: spruce, pine, larch, CLT, glulam, plywood and multilayer wood panels. The product performs best on absorbent wood surfaces. For non-absorbent or modified wood materials (e.g., thermowood, Accoya), we recommend consulting our technical team in advance.

The transparent version preserves the natural tone of the wood. Tinted versions may slightly fade over time under strong UV exposure, but the fire classification does not depend on surface color intensity.

No. SPFR100 is pH-neutral and non-corrosive, and does not damage standard metal fasteners or tools.
